Evolution

Charles Darwin in the close of the first edition of the Origin of Species (1859) said this Epic had majesty in it. After the controversies generated by his book, the sixth edition included the phrase by the Creator to read: “There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.” (Webmaster Note: I read this 55 years ago and it had an immense effect on my thinking. Darwin did not say who or what the Creator was. It may have been Allah, the universe itself, or the Goddess Panthea)
