✅ disturb the face of the Earth no more than is needed and strive wherever possible to preserve its inherent beauty.
✅ balance the needs of ourselves, tribe and nation to maximize the future of a necessary global society in harmony with its ecosphere.
✅ limit human population to the carrying capacity of the Earth’s ecosystem.
✅ aid the continuation of life by understanding it to the best of our ability.
✅ embrace the apparent self-sacrifices that may be required to promote these resolves seeing them as intelligent self-interest.
Most people concerned about the environment and the ecology of the biosphere should find these resolves worthy of a sincere commitment.
Religious Naturalists consider Nature sacred. This claim justifies a morality with environmental concerns. They try to live in accord with Nature and in harmony with what they consider sacred. This results in their ecological concerns and doing something to protect the Nature that connects them to the ultimate reality.
They seek a relationship between themselves and the world of which they are a part of and dependent upon. They wish to write an evolutionary epic that is a grand never ending saga – in a sense, a 21st century Bible.
